On 25 March 2026, the German delegation of CoachingHer began a special journey to southern Italy. In the early hours of the morning, Thomas Zimmermann, project lead and Managing Director of Plan B, Daniela Baum, project coordinator as well as Head of Human Resources and Finance at Plan B, and three project participants met at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) to travel together to the final meeting of the Erasmus+ project.
After a flight via Munich, the group continued on to Bari, where Sadullah Altunas, project manager of our project partner BK-Con, joined them. From there, they travelled together by car for around two hours to Campi Salentina, where they arrived in the afternoon.
After getting settled into their accommodation and taking a first look around, the group met with the project team from Intrecci. The warm welcome immediately showed how closely and trustfully the cooperation within the project had grown across national borders. During a short walk through the town, the visitors were able to gain their first impressions of Campi Salentina and its unique atmosphere.

One unexpected and particularly pleasant moment of the day was a short visit to Mayor Alfredo Paolo Fina. This spontaneous stop gave the start of the stay a special touch and once again highlighted the appreciation shown for international exchange and joint project work.

The evening ended with a shared Italian dinner. In a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, there was time for personal conversations, reflections on the project journey so far, and anticipation for the following day.
On Thursday, the focus was on the final meeting of the project partners. Together, they looked back on the past months, the intensive cooperation and the results achieved within CoachingHer. Afterwards, the final event with the German and Italian participants took place. This direct exchange once again showed how valuable encounters, mutual support and shared learning are in a European context.

The discussions and meetings made it clear how important projects like CoachingHer are for the personal and professional empowerment of women. Across languages and borders, a space was created for exchange, encouragement and new perspectives.
On Friday, the German group returned home on a direct flight from Bari to Berlin. What remained were not only wonderful impressions of southern Italy, but also valuable encounters and the memory of a successful project closing. The journey to Campi Salentina was not only a formal final meeting, but above all a vivid example of how European cooperation connects people, strengthens them and creates lasting impulses.
